The Schilthorn is a beautiful mountain located in the swiss Lauterbrunnen valley, just on the opposite side of the the Bernese triumvirate, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The view from it’s summit plateau offers an amazing contrast between the wide, flat land on one side and one of Switzerlands most ascetic alpine sceneries on the other.
Mürren, the old walser-village at the foot of the mountain, is not only the basejump-mekka of Europe, it’s also a place, where swiss traditions meet up with an extravagant mixture of people from all over the world. An unfamiliar silence and coziness results out of the carless municipality.
During the documentation of this beautiful place, I had the chance to meet up with Böbs, a former winner of the legendary inferno-skirace, as well as a living alphorn legend, Jana & Buzz, an inspiring couple from the Czech Republic and New Zealand as well as Audrey, a young local with lots of zest for fresh ideas.
